Shane Battier: Battling The Flu
Battier has been battling the flu since the Heat clinched their series against the Bobcats, the Sun Sentinel reports. Regarding his return to practice, "I'm almost there. I'm not doing great, but I got tired of staying home," said Battier.
Analysis:
Battier is actually pretty fortunate to have come down with the flu during the Heat's downtime as they await their second-round opponent to identify themselves. Battier has been unable to participate in conditioning drills but he'll likely be rounding into form when the Heat take on either the Nets or the Raptors on Tuesday. However, there's a slim chance that Battier will see much court time, regardless of health, since he played a total of just two minutes during the series with Charlotte.
