Center Andrew Bynum will miss the remainder of the playoffs and will not be with the Indiana Pacers throughout their run, the team announced Wednesday.
A statement from president of basketball operations Larry Bird sounds a lot like a farewell.
“We want to thank Andrew and our medical staff for trying to get the issues with his knee resolved,” Bird said in a release. “We wish him the best in the future.”
Bynum signed with Indiana as a free agent on Feb. 1, and appeared in just two games.
