During an appearance on Wednesday's episode of "Jim Rome on Showtime," vice president of the National Basketball Players Association Roger Mason Jr. claimed that LeBron James "ain't playing" in the 2014-15 season if Donald Sterling is still the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Mason Jr. has since backtracked on those comments, saying that LeBron "never said anything about boycotting" and that "our commissioner, team owners, fans, players, and the world all agree that there is no place for racism in our league."
On Thursday, James had a chance to clarify where he stands on the issue of a potential boycott, and he made it clear that something needs to be done at some point.
LeBron: "I believe this issue is too big not to say something" about Stirling. Did not watch Stirling on CNN.

However, LeBron believes that there's no reason to be discussing such a matter right now.
LeBron said issues have come up in locker room when Roger Mason has been around but there was no talk of boycott.

LeBron said the steps league has taken with Sterling are "good enough for now" but more still needs to happen.

LeBron: "I believe in Silver. We don't need to worry about" boycotting or anything else right now. Focus is on basketball.

James also stated that he didn't reach out to Mason Jr. because "I have no phone" (odd for someone who has a deal with Samsung).
