Andray Blatche to opt out of final year of contract, still wants to re-sign with Nets
With most of the Brooklyn Nets' post-elimination talk focusing on whether or not Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett will return for a second season, not much attention has been given to Andray Blatche, who announced on Thursday that he plans to test the waters of free agency.
Andray Blatche said he's opting out of deal to become a free agent and explore options. Said he still wants to re-sign.

Blatche holds a $1,437,506 player option for the 2014-15 season, but he clearly believes he deserves more based off the campaign he just had.
And when you consider that Kevin Garnett is set to earn $12 million if he decides against retiring, Blatche probably does deserve more.
Through 73 regular season games, the 27-year-old averaged 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steal, while posting a Player Efficiency Rating of 16.8 (ranks third on the Nets) and a True Shooting Percentage of 53.2 percent.
