Charlotte 'Hornets' to reveal new uniforms June 19, 1988-2002 records will revert to team
The Charlotte Bobcats officially became the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday, in a move that seems to have been received well by the general basketball world. We can't speak for Charlotte basketball fans, but they'll surely be glad to have their identity back.
They'll also find out what kind of swag they'll be sporting sometime soon, as the Hornets revealed that they'll unveil new uniforms on June 19 (are they slow-playing this process or what?).
We can only hope they're similar enough to the original look that these Starter jackets come back in style:

Also revealed on Tuesday was that Hugo the Hornet will return on June 5 (for what, we're unclear), a new floor design will be unveiled on June 26 and the team will host Buzz Fest in October to celebrate the return of the Hornets name.
Oh, and the fans and team are also getting their history back. That is, the "Charlotte Hornets" lineage from 1988-2002 will no longer be New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans history but will instead become a part of Charlotte's lineage, with a gap from 2002-2004 when the city had no team.
So Dell Curry returns as the franchise's all-time leading scorer instead of Gerald Wallace.
