The Miami Heat look to win their third-consecutive NBA title, becoming just the sixth team to do so.
Anyone that purchases bed covers, linens, blankets, sheets, or towels with the phrase "3-Peat" on them, will be helping to line the pockets of Heat president Pat Riley.
Riley's company, Riles & Co., has filed to trademark the phrase "3-Peat" on those items, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.
The filing is the second the company has made in 10 days.
Riley trademarked the phrase nearly 25 years ago, at the start of the 1988-89 season after his Laker team won its second championship in a row.
Riley has also trademarked other variations of the phrase, including "Three-Peat," "3Peat," and "ThreePeat."
