Report: Wizards, head coach Wittman 'near an agreement' on 3-year extension
When Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski speaks, we listen. And when he tweets, we read.
The Woj has spoken on the future of Wizards head coach Randy Wittman:
The Washington Wizards are near an agreement on a three-year contract extension with coach Randy Wittman, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Wizards'3-yr deal w/Randy Wittman is in the $3-$3.5M range annually, per industry source. @WojYahooNBA first to report deal was close.

Wittman guided the Wizards to a 44-38 record this past season, and the club made a playoff appearance for the first time since 2007-2008. They won a series, too, beating the Chicago Bulls in five games in the first round. They lost to the Pacers in six games in the second round.
The point is: they made the playoffs, and took important strides as a club, led by 23-year-old John Wall and 20-year-old Bradley Beal.
