Report: Suns strongly interested in trading 27th pick for future 1st rounder

Turns out, there is such as thing as too much of a good thing.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Phoenix Suns are strongly interested in trading the 27th pick in this year's draft for a future first-rounder.
The news may seem odd. Why would the Suns trade a weak first-rounder for one in the future?
The answer is straightforward - the Suns have too many draft picks in this year's draft, and too much youth on the roster to allow for their prospects to develop. In addition to 27, the Suns also hold the 14th and 18th selections.
