The Minnesota Timberwolves made a push to move into the latter part of the first round of Thursday's draft, Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
FYI: Wolves tried to move up in late in the first round by offering one of the players they're trying to deal and got nowhere.

Among the players of interest to the Timberwolves, according to Zgoda, was former UCLA guard/forward Kyle Anderson, who was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 30th overall pick.
Minnesota used its lone first-round pick (13th overall) on another UCLA product: guard Zach LaVine.
As for the players the Timberwolves were attempting to move, Zgoda speculates that the list may have included J.J. Barea, Chase Budinger, or Alexey Shved.
