The 35-year-old announced in early June that he is completely healthy and is hoping to contribute to a team this upcoming season.
The first-overall pick in 1999, Brand spent last season with the Atlanta Hawks, where he averaged 5.7 points and 4.9 rebounds in 73 games.
Brand earned $4 million last season but could command something closer to the veteran minimum of $1.45 million.
