The Houston Rockets are making sure they have the pieces in place to clear out salary should they sign either LeBron James or Carmelo Anthony.
Hearing that Rockets & Sixers are in fluid trade talks surrounding Jeremy Lin. HOU waiting to unload Lin's deal if it signs Melo or Lebron.

Lin is owed $8.37 million next season in the final year of the three-year, $25.1 million deal that he signed with the Rockets in 2012.
In 71 games last season, the 25-year-old averaged 12.5 points, 4.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds
While likely unintentional, the Rockets offered a slap in the face to Lin on Wednesday in their attempt to lure Anthony, leaving Lin's number on Anthony's jersey.

For his part, Lin feels disrespected by the Rockets' handling of the situation. Perhaps he sees the writing, or in this case, the banner on the wall?
