Golden State Warriors forward David Lee wasn't handed an invitation to Team USA's training camp ahead of the FIBA World Cup as the 31-year-old is recovering from minor surgery.
Warriors PF David Lee had minor surgery to repair a core muscle (pelvic area) and won't be able to train with Team USA in Las Vegas.

Lee isn't expected to miss much time however, as Simmons goes on to note that the Warriors big man should return to the court in early August.
The two-time All-Star once again played a focal role in the Warriors' offense last season, contributing 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds in 69 games.
