Following a six-player trade in which the Dallas Mavericks acquired Tyson Chandler among other players, the New York Knicks have reportedly signed Jason Smith to help their void at the five.
Free agent Jason Smith has signed a one-year, $3.3M deal with the New York Knicks, league source tells RealGM.

The 2013-14 campaign saw Smith average 9.7 points and a career-best 5.8 rebounds until mid-January, when season-ending surgery was required to remove loose cartilage in his right knee.
A knee injury also forced Smith to miss the entire 2008-09 season, and constant injuries have limited him to 122 games over the past three years.
