The Golden State Warriors reportedly added depth to their perimeter with the addition of forward Brandon Rush on a two-year, $2.5 million deal.
Rush was dealt from the Warriors to the Utah Jazz last offseason in a cap-clearing move. He has only appeared in 40 games over the last two seasons due to a serious knee injury.
When healthy, Rush is a tenacious wing defender with good size to play either shooting guard or small forward. He also boasts a career three-point percentage of 40.9 percent, which fits nicely in Golden State's three-point heavy attack.
Health will certainly be the question for Rush, as this deal provides him with the opportunity to prove his worth. The 29-year-old would ordinarily command a larger deal, but it's unclear as to whether he can be productive once more.
In his last season of relatively good health, Rush averaged 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game with the Warriors in 2011-12.
