Lakers GM: Boozer 'an established veteran, proven All-Star, will be a welcome addition'
The Los Angeles Lakers are happy to have Carlos Boozer on board. The club announced their acquisition of the 32-year-old power forward Thursday night, after he was waived, via the amnesty provision, by the Chicago Bulls.
General manager Mitch Kupchak said in a statement:
"Carlos is an established veteran and a proven all-star, who will be a welcome addition to our team. We’re very pleased to have won the bidding process and to have gained his rights, and look forward to his contributions next season."
Boozer's a two-time All-Star, and has played in the postseason in eight straight seasons. The Lakers are hoping that streak continues in 2015.
