Jan Vesely was too beautiful for this league.
The Czech-born, sixth-overall pick from the 2011 NBA Draft has decided the NBA isn't the league for him any longer, and is close to a deal with Fenerbahce Ulker in the Turkish Basketball League, according to a Sportando report.
It's hard to call Vesely anything but a bust after three seasons in the league. The 6-foot-11 forward never really found his groove with the Washington Wizards, with the team eventually declining their 2014-15 option on him and subsequently dealing him to the Denver Nuggets. Vesely averaged 3.6 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 52.1 percent form the floor in 162 career games.
With Fenerbahce Ulker, he'll join names like Andrew Goudelock and Bogdan Bogdanovic, making them a potential favorite to repeat as league champions.
And, oh, we've buried the lede here in a major way: Vesely also posted the following on Instagram just before the report broke Saturday. What does him with a drone have to do with anything? We don't know, this may be unrelated. He did play in Washington ... maybe he knows something?
Little preview! Stay tuned. #phantom #drone
