The Oklahoma City Thunder announced that they have re-signed power forward Grant Jerrett.
"Grant had an excellent and productive season with the Tulsa 66ers," general manager Sam Presti said in a release. "We are excited to see him move forward within our program."
The 6-foot-10 Jerrett actually signed with the Thunder in April of this past season but didn't appear in a game with the team. He did, however, impress with 15.3 points and 6.1 rebounds a night in the D-League, hitting 36.8 percent of his threes.
While the 21-year-old may still be a ways away from producing meaningful NBA minutes, the 2013 second-round pick obviously flashed enough potential for the Thunder to lock him down for another season. Plus, are you really going to doubt that the J-E-double-R-E-double-T ain't great?
While terms of the deal were not disclosed, it's likely he'll make the league minimum, which for him would be $816,482 rather than the rookie minimum since he was on the Thunder roster last season.
