Report: Patrick Beilein leaving West Virginia Wesleyan to join Jazz's coaching staff
What's it like to be 29 years old and part of an NBA team's coaching staff?
Well, you can apparently ask Patrick Beilein, the son of Michigan coach John Beilein, as he's reportedly set to join Quin Snyder's coaching team with the Utah Jazz.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Beilein will work under Snyder in a player development and video coordinator role. Since the Jazz are entering the upcoming season with what could be the youngest roster in the league, Snyder plans on utilizing Beilein's strengths as a shooting instructor.
Beilein recently completed his third season coaching West Virginia Wesleyan (his second as head coach), where he helped turn a losing Division II program into a team that won 20 games in 2013-14. During his playing days at West Virginia, Beilein was part of the Mountaineers squad that reached the Elite Eight in 2005 and the Sweet 16 in 2006.
