Report: George surgery goes well, but 'likely out for next season'
Do you want the bad news or the good news first? According to Yahoo's Marc J. Spears, Paul George's surgery went well and no additional damage was found during the procedure after he suffered a compound leg fracture during Friday's Team USA scrimmage.
But his status for next season with the Pacers is in doubt, which is not much of a surprise as these types of injuries often come with a lengthy recovery time.

George landed awkwardly on his right leg after trying to block James Harden during the intrasquad game. Many of the U.S. players looked rattled, and did not speak to the media after the game.
USA Basketball confirmed the injury and successful surgery early Saturday morning.
