The NBA Development League has continued its growth in recent years, to the point where 17 of the league's 18 teams are now affiliated with NBA clubs, with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants being used by the NBA's remaining 13 teams.

The Knicks became the latest team to add their own D-League affiliate, with the Westchester Knicks set to tip off this season. Reportedly, now the Toronto Raptors may be ready to join the party.

Citing "sources within the RazorSharks front office," Time Warner Cable News reports that the Rochester Razorsharks, who currently play in the Premier Basketball League, are in talks with the Raptors, who are looking for their own affiliate.

Rochester is only about 170 miles - roughly a three-hour drive - away from Toronto.
