Andre Drummond may still be without the pedigree, but the Detroit Pistons center isn't short on confidence.

The 21-year-old spoke glowingly of his chances to survive the latest round of Team USA cuts ahead of Saturday night's marquee friendly with Brazil.

"I don’t plan on going home," Drummond told NBA.com. "I feel like I've done a pretty good job here these past couple of weeks really proving I could be a part of this team."

"I’m not going to back down." he added. "I know what’s at stake. I want to win a gold medal.”

With DeMarcus Cousins out with injury, coach Mike Krzyzewski will get a good look at both Drummond and Brooklyn Nets big man Mason Plumlee, who are likely competing for the final roster spot at center.
