Paul George apologizes for deleted tweets in support of Ray Rice

Most of the sports world was appalled by footage of Ray Rice knocking out his then-fiancée in a casino elevator, and the overwhelming majority seem to agree that Rice should have received a punishment far more severe than a two-game suspension long before TMZ released the video.
Paul George is apparently not one of those people, as the injured Pacers All-Star took to Twitter on Thursday morning to support and somewhat defend Rice in a string of questionable tweets.

The tweets have been deleted, and George has since added an apology.
Let me apologize to the women and to the VICTIMS of domestic violence people my intent was not to downplay the situation..
