Under Jason Kidd, Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to take on more of a ball-handling, point-forward role - if he doesn't play point guard altogether.

Whether the raw, 6-foot-11 (and still growing) swingman is up to the task remains to be seen, but the thought of "The Greek Freak" initiating the offense and leading fast breaks is enough to get any basketball fan excited.

And it turns out Antetokounmpo will get some help from a legend when transitioning to his new role, as Gary Payton will serve as the 19-year-old's "special advisor" this season, according to Sport24.gr

As translated by SB Nation:

The veteran superstar of Sonics and Lakers fame characterized Antetokounmpo as "unripe," but stressed that he has a lot of potential and was impressed by the willingness he has to learn and improve his game.

The report also states that Payton has already met with Antetokounmpo and Kidd. The Hall of Fame point guard, known as "The Glove," averaged 16.3 points, 6.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals over 17 seasons with the SuperSonics, Bucks, Lakers, Celtics and Heat.

Payton won a championship with Miami in 2006, made nine All-Star games, nine All-NBA teams and took home Defensive Player of the Year honors in 1996.

Antetokounmpo averaged 6.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in his rookie season with the Bucks, during which he was the youngest player in the NBA.

He possesses a dynamic skill set for his size, including adept ball handling and decent three-point range, although he'll surely want to cut down on his turnover percentage (turnovers per 100 plays) of 19.4 as he develops into one of Milwaukee's offensive initiators.
