VIDEO: Paul Pierce pokes Joakim Noah during skirmish
Just a few minutes into his Washington Wizards debut - in the preseason, no less - Paul Pierce is already playing a starring role.
The only problem is that his first highlight has nothing to do with basketball and everything to do with a Three Stooges-like skirmish with Joakim Noah.
Pierce looks to be attempting the old split-fingered eye-poke here, but he appears to make more contact with Noah's forehead than eyes. His arms-up, ready-to-fight stance wasn't too convincing as he backtracked away from Noah, either (even Tony Allen noticed).
Full credit to Tom Thibodeau, though, who took a couple of inadvertent elbows to the head playing peacekeeper.
The shoving match started after Pierce committed a hard foul on Jimmy Butler, and then proceeded to stare him down.
