VIDEO: Amar'e Stoudemire whiffs on block attempt
Rick Osentoski / USA Today Sports
Amar'e Stoudemire said earlier this week that he feels dominant again for the first time in a while.
This probably isn't what he had in mind.
The block attempt and volleyball spike were honorable, and you could even say the hops were encouraging for a guy whose knees have failed him over the years.
The result? Not so much.
Stoudemire finished with six points, three rebounds and a block in 14 minutes of action Wednesday, as the New York Knicks fell to the Boston Celtics, 106-86, in their preseason opener.
