VIDEO: First look at the adidas D Rose 5 Boost shoe
On Thursday, adidas released a teaser for the new D Rose 5 Boost, the unveiling of their signature Derrick Rose shoe for the 2014-15 season.
The video is simple but effective, showing the shoes flex in multiple positions as Rose drives for a between-the-legs dunk, in ultra slow motion.
Have a look:
The company is saying this year's shoe has been designed for Rose's explosive game. No word if they've also been designed with additional stability for the knees in mind. (We kid - there doesn't appear to be a relationship between shoe brand and injuries.)
If it's hard to get a feel for the shoe from the video, a still of the footwear is below. The tongue is a little too noisy, but the colorway is solid, and the rose on the heel is always a nice touch:

The shoe hits stores Oct. 23.
