Russell Westbrook diagnosed with small fracture in right hand
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has been diagnosed with a small fracture in his right hand, according to head coach Scott Brooks.
Westbrook was forced from Thursday night's 93-90 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in the second quarter and did not return to the court. Westbrook rejoined his team on the bench in the second half, with his hand wrapped in ice, before once again heading back to the locker room.
Westbrook was not made available to the media after the game, but Brooks said the fracture was in the second metacarpal in his right hand.
The team didn't provide a timetable for recovery, but losing Westbrook for any period would be a significant blow for the Thunder, who are already without the Kevin Durant due to a broken foot.
