It appears the Bulls accidentally attributed the ankle sprain to Gibson, when it was actually Derrick Rose who left the contest with the ailment. Gibson returned to the game shortly after the supposed injury was announced, so it seems like coach Tom Thibodeau just benched him temporarily as part of the flow of the game.
