The NBA has suspended Denver Nuggets power forward Darrell Arthur for one game for shoving Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Dion Waiters in mid-air Friday.
The shove, which can be viewed below, was incredibly dangerous, and Waiters was lucky to have avoided injury. At the time, Arthur was assessed a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2 and automatically ejected from the game. The suspension was largely expected given the egregious nature of the push.
Waiters remained in the game and would ultimately finish with 17 points in the 110-101 Cavaliers victory.
Arthur, a six-year veteran, has averaged 12.8 minutes, five points and three rebounds in five games with the Nuggets to start the year. He'll miss Sunday's game against Portland, sitting without pay.
