Bulls' Gasol out with calf strain

Pau Gasol's strong start to the season has hit a road bump.

The Chicago Bulls power forward will miss Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a left calf strain.

Gasol was listed as probable earlier on Monday, but was ruled out when his symptoms worsened after taking part in Bulls shootaround.

The veteran big man has been arguably Chicago's best player through 10 games as the team has dealt with injuries elsewhere in their lineup. Gasol has averaged 18.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.9 assists.

Derrick Rose is also still out for the Bulls with a hamstring injury.
