Pau Gasol will not play Thursday vs. Kings
For the second consecutive game, the Chicago Bulls will play without both Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol.
Gasol, who was diagnosed with a left calf strain on Monday and subsequently sat out the team's game with the Los Angeles Clippers, will sit out again on Thursday when the Bulls take on the Kings in Sacramento, according to head coach Tom Thibodeau.
The Bulls have proven remarkably resilient, managing to knock off the Clippers on Monday without their two stars to improve to 6-0 on the road. But with six games still remaining on their gruelling seven-game road trip, it's unclear how long they can keep this up.
Gasol has been one the team's most consistently productive performers, averaging 18.6 points, 10.6 boards, and 2.5 blocks in 10 games this season.
If the Bulls again manage to win without him and Rose, it'll be the first 7-0 road start to a season in franchise history.
