VIDEO: Steph Curry explains ritual pregame shooting from the tunnel
From time to time, a crazy highlight will pop up of Steph Curry combing a 3-point shot from the team's tunnel entrance before a game.
It's become somewhat of a ritual for the Golden State Warriors sharpshooter, extending beyond simply flashing off his ample range. It's a tradition now, one that also offers an unmet challenge.
Curry recently revealed that he began taking the shots after a Warriors security guard put him to the test, betting he couldn't make the shot. Now, Curry tries to do it every game, and claims it's a good sign when he makes it. One thing he hasn't been able to do yet, though, is the full-court heave from the tunnel.
The Warriors really should begin keeping track of when he makes and misses the shot, so his statistics in each case can be compared. Imagine the swing in betting lines if Curry hit his pregame tunnel three, and history showed he shot 10 percent better in those games.
