Adam Silver ranked most influential person in sports business
Turns out commissioner Adam Silver isn't just the most powerful man in the NBA.
Silver ranked as the No. 1 most influential person in sports business, according to a top-50 list by Sports Business Daily. It's an annual list done by the company, and one that former commissioner David Stern never ranked at the top of.
Rounding out the top five were ESPN president John Skipper, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft - the highest an owner has ever appeared on the list - while Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig and his soon-to-be replacement Rob Manfred tied at fourth.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell ranked fifth, while NHL commissioner Gary Bettman was in the No. 9 spot.
Other notables include Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and his star player LeBron James at No. 26, and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who ranked No. 47.
