Report: Hornets' Stephenson has 'clashed with teammates'
You can probably file this under "not surprising," but Lance Stephenson has reportedly clashed with his new Charlotte Hornets teammates, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
Washburn writes that Hornets coach Steve Clifford was (and may still be) hoping that veterans on the squad could convince Stephenson to buy into the program - but as of yet, no dice. Now, Stephenson appears to be on the trading block.
The truth is, there isn't much of a market for Stephenson right now. While that could change as the Feb. 19 trade deadline approaches, rumors of a potential groin problem don't improve his situation.
Charlotte - 8-19 going into Sunday, and previously expected to be a second-tier Eastern Conference contender this season - now appears to be proving the old adage that chemistry counts in the NBA.
