Jason Terry becomes 3rd player to 2,000 career made threes
Jason Terry has been doing this 3-point thing for a minute.
Long enough to tally more 3-point field goals made than all but Ray Allen and Reggie Miller, anyway. Terry became just the third player to hit 2,000 career threes on Monday, hitting a 28-footer with 25 seconds to play in the third quarter.
The Houston Rockets' veteran is more about volume than anything, but he's hit at an impressive 38 percent clip for his career, just shy of his 38.5 percent mark on the season. At age 37, Terry's seeing an uptick in attempts after a three-year decline, as the Rockets are asking him to do almost nothing but spot up. As a result, 69.5 percent of his attempts have come from beyond the arc.

In 1,161 games over 16 seasons with five teams, Terry has averaged 15.2 points and 4.4 assists.
