Wizards' Webster returns to lineup Monday after off-season back surgery
Whether he actually plays remains up in the air, but Washington Wizards swingman Martell Webster will be active and in uniform for Monday's game against the Houston Rockets.
Webster has yet to play a game this season since undergoing back surgery to repair a herniated disc on June 27 - his third back surgery in four years.
Webster averaged 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists for the Wizards last season in over 27 minutes per game, converting 39.2 percent of his 3-point attempts.
Rasual Butler has done a fantastic job replacing Webster in the Wizards' rotation so far this season, with the veteran playing the best basketball of his career at 35 years old. Butler has averaged 10.7 points on 51.5 percent shooting - including 50 percent 3-point shooting - in just under 23 minutes per game.
If Butler's minutes aren't affected by Webster's return, look for Webster to potentially cut into Otto Porter's and Garrett Temple's floor time.
