Report: Kings sign Corbin as coach till end of season
Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
It was reported a few weeks back that interim Sacramento Kings coach Tyrone Corbin would need to fall on his face to not complete this season. On Monday night, Cowbell Kingdom's James Ham reported that the Kings have inked Corbin to a deal to finish the year.
The Kings are 2-5 and have plummeted defensively under Corbin, who took over head coaching duties after the surprise firing of Mike Malone on Dec. 14. Corbin, a former NBA forward, is no stranger to taking over coaching duties at mid-season. He took over from Jerry Sloan in Utah in 2011.
