Kobe Bryant records 21st career triple-double in win over Nuggets
Kobe Bryant did it all in a road win over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles Lakers' superstar recorded his second triple-double of the season with a 23-point, 11-assist and 11-rebound effort in Los Angeles' 111-103 victory at the Pepsi Center.
Bryant sat out three games before returning to score 10 in a loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, and then erupted against Denver to record the 21st triple-double of his career.
"Having the time off does wonders," Bryant said after the game, according to NBA.com's Mike Trudell.
The 36-year-old veteran joins Rajon Rondo, Eric Bledsoe and Michael Carter-Williams as the only players in the NBA this season with multiple triple-doubles.
Bryant shot 6-of-11 from the field - including 3-of-5 from long range - while going 8-of-11 from the line. It marked the third game this season that Bryant has shot at least 50 percent from the field. He did turn the ball over nine times, but was instrumental in helping the Lakers snap a three-game losing skid.
The Lakers and Bryant will get some time to rest before hosting the Memphis Grizzlies at the Staples Center on Friday.
