Wizards' Nene twisted ankle in loss to Mavericks
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports
Washington Wizards power forward Nene twisted his ankle in Tuesday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks and didn't return to the game.
The Brazilian big man said afterward he stepped on Chandler Parsons's foot, adding he didn't know if he'd be able to play in Washington's next game on Friday against the Thunder in Oklahoma City.
Nene has missed time this year due to both a knee injury and plantar fasciitis.
With a two-day break until the OKC game, the Wizards will be hoping he can shake it off. Washington is in the midst of a big-test Western Conference road trip, with the Spurs and Pelicans coming after the Thunder. So far they've split the Texas leg with a win in Houston and the loss in Dallas.
