Tyronn Lue poses for photo with 76ers fan in shirt showing Iverson stepping over him
In possibly the most dominant postseason run in NBA history, the 2000-01 Los Angeles Lakers lost a single playoff game en route to their second consecutive championship.
That one loss, though, was a memorable one, in which Allen Iverson dropped 48 points and carried the Philadelphia 76ers to a Game 1 overtime win. Along the way, he immortalized then-Lakers guard Tyronn Lue by crossing him over, hitting a jumper in his face and then brashly and dismissively stepping over Lue's fallen body.
It remains a seminal moment in Iverson's legacy and an enduring piece of basketball iconography. And like so many iconic moments in this day and age, it's been rendered in T-shirt form.
Lue is now an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were in Philadelphia on Monday to play (and eventually lose to) the 76ers. A Philly fan came to the arena rocking the so-called Step Over Tee, and requested a picture with the the one and only Stepped Over.
Credit Lue for having the good grace to pose for the picture.
Sixers fans will take whatever they can get these days.
