Pacers' Ian Mahinmi upgraded to questionable Friday

Perhaps Ian Mahinmi is healing faster than expected from a torn left plantar fascia. The Indiana Pacers have listed their backup center as questionable for Friday's game against the Boston Celtics.
This comes as a bit of a surprise, as the Frenchman was expected to miss six-to-eight weeks when he sustained the injury one month ago. There's been no indication he has returned to practice yet, but with starting center Roy Hibbert again battling ankle problems, the Pacers are thin in the big-man department.
Mahinmi was averaging 4.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 18.3 minutes before his injury.
