Grizzlies' Conley out again Saturday with ankle sprain
Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley will miss his second straight game with a right ankle sprain Saturday night against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The reality is actually that Conley is dealing with two sprained ankles. He tweaked the right one Wednesday in Brooklyn when he accidentally stepped on a baseline photographer while running out of bounds. The 27-year-old was already dealing with a slight sprain on his left ankle.
Conley missed two weeks last season with a right ankle injury.
"I don't know my limits yet, but I know there's still pain," Conley told ESPN Friday.
The Grizzlies just came out of having power forward Zach Randolph on the shelf for a prolonged period, but are still hanging tight in the Western Conference's top four. Conley is second on the Grizz in points at 17.9 per game and first in assists at 6.1.
