Hornets' Walker will not play Monday with knee soreness

The Charlotte Hornets continue to be plagued by injuries.
Point guard Kemba Walker will miss Monday's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to knee soreness, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
Winners of six of their last seven games, the Hornets will be hard-pressed to replace Walker's production. Over the last 19 games, Walker is averaging 24.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 36.8 minutes per game, while connecting on 37.4 percent of his 3-point tries.
Charlotte will likely turn to backup guard Brian Roberts to run the point in Walker's absence. Roberts covered for Walker on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers and scored just six points on 2-of-12 shooting.
