PHOTO: The 76ers got Jason Richardson diapers for his birthday
Jason Richardson is hoping to make a return to NBA action later this month after two years on the shelf, and the Philadelphia 76ers appear ready to welcome him back.
The 76ers are so excited to have the veteran back that they showered him with gifts on his 34th birthday on Tuesday. Being so young up and down the roster, the 76ers probably had no idea what to get a man of Richardson's advanced age. After all, he's the oldest player on the active roster by five-and-a-half years.
And so they went the safe route, getting Richardson those time-tested gifts for people in their mid-30s like a housecoat ... and baby food ... and Depends adult diapers. That's cold.
Poor Richardson is probably closer in age to most of the coaching staff than the roster, which has 12 players under the age of 25.
