Durant day-to-day with toe sprain; could play Wednesday
Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant won't be out for long.
Durant is currently listed as day-to-day due to a toe sprain, but there's a possibility he plays Wednesday against the New York Knicks, Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman reports.
Slater notes that Durant will gauge his health Wednesday at shootaround and pregame, before making a final decision to play.
Durant missed the Thunder's game Monday, a 92-84 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The seventh-year pro has played in just 21 games for the Thunder this season since recovering from a broken foot. When he has played, however, Durant has been nothing short of spectacular, averaging 25.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 33.1 minutes of action, while shooting 51.9 percent from the field.
Should Durant sit out against the Knicks, the Thunder may again turn to Perry Jones, who started in Durant's place Monday.
