Deron Williams returns to Nets after 11-game absence
NEW YORK (AP) Deron Williams is expected to play for the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night against the Los Angeles Clippers after missing 11 games with fractured left rib cartilage.
It would be Williams' first action since he was hurt Jan. 7 after playing four minutes in a loss to Boston. He was originally injured on Jan. 4 in Miami, missed a game, and then was hurt again when he tried to come back.
Williams is averaging 13.9 points, now as the backup to Jarrett Jack.
