VIDEO: Westbrook caps triple-double, win with through-the-legs assist
Russell Westbrook heard the call Monday.
With his Oklahoma City Thunder lacking room for any further error and tag-team partner Kevin Durant on the shelf, Westbrook took over against the Orlando Magic.
Westbrook finished with a massive triple-double, scoring 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing 14 assists. He grabbed four steals for good measure, and made sure at least one of his assists qualified for the highlight reel, dropping an insane through-the-legs pass to Andre Roberson for a transition dunk.
Westbrook's 10th career triple-double (and his second of the season) helped lift the Thunder to a much-needed 104-97 victory, returning them to .500 at 24-24. Things still need to get better in a hurry, but they just may.
The Thunder have won seven straight at home and 12 of 14. Relevant: They play 20 of their final 34 at home.
