VIDEO: Anthony Davis hits buzzer-beating 30-foot game-winner
New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis is not just a rare breed. He's one of a kind.
That's because Davis is capable of just about anything on the basketball court. With his rare mix of athleticism, size and skill, Davis is nothing short of a basketball marvel.
Take his performance on Friday. Davis scored 41 points, including a buzzer-beating 30-foot 3-pointer to sink the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 116-113.
For most of the game, Davis used his hops and height to soar over the Thunder's defense. This inhuman alley-oop exemplifies the impossibility of his existence.
But Davis, who played as a guard before hitting a growth spurt in high school, also possesses skills befitting a guard.
He routinely cans jump shots off the dribble and on catch-and-shoots. He can pass. He can use his dribble to drive. He leads the league in blocks.
He can do it all. For that, Davis isn't just rare - he's in a class all by himself.
