Chris Bosh was admitted to a Florida hospital to undergo tests for what the team has described as an illness, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
The initial tests were on Bosh's lungs, reports Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald. Goodman notes that Bosh was complaining of side pain near his rib cage during All-Star weekend in New York City.
The Miami Heat power forward showed up to Heat practice Wednesday feeling ill and team trainers sent him to see a doctor. He didn't practice Thursday and didn't travel with the team for its game Friday against the New York Knicks.
Bosh, who was selected to his 10th consecutive All-Star Game, is averaging 21.1 points and seven rebounds in 44 games.
