VIDEO: The entire Michael Beasley experience is back
There's nobody quite like Michael Beasley.
Signed to a 10-day contract by the Miami Heat this week after a successful stint in China, Beasley made his Heat debut for a third time Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, his first NBA action since the last game of the Finals.
In case anybody forgot during his time abroad, Beasley worked quickly on Friday to remind the world just what The Michael Beasley Experience entails.
In one short stint, he displayed both why he's been given four chances in the league and was a No. 2 overall pick, and then exactly why three teams have let him leave for other endeavors.
First, there was this ridiculous, Dirk Nowitzki-esque, fadeaway jumper to open his 2014-15 season:
He followed that up with the worst layup attempted since theScore's last team outing:
Beasley played 10 minutes in the game, scoring seven points on 3-of-7 shooting with two rebounds and an assist. That's the book on him, as he can score in a hurry with average offensive efficiency, but he'll occasionally have teammates scratching their heads.
As the Heat said, given their present situation, signing him was a no-brainer.
Insert your own joke the next time Beasley takes a shot like that.
